Default Yo Don....

I'm glad your starter incident all worked out for the good. But for
the fun of it, I called and found your starter costs me about $50.00
USD. I didn't persue the thought that my WPS account would be honored
in Canada, but I'm sure it would be. And from a WPS canadian warehouse
shipping and duties wouldn't be a hassle.

Jut thought I'd pass that along for future reference.

Thanks for checking that out and offering to help out Tim.
You can bet I'll store that in the back of my mind. ;-)
Next time I'm at the Evinrude/Johnson dealer I'll ask what they want for the
starter... just for giggles. It'll give me an idea of what their markup is
on parts.

I think my next little project will be installing proper 4" horned cleats on
the bow and stern of my boat and maybe add a pole type all-around white
light for night use.
I'll probably just get the type that plugs into the 'cigar lighter' type of
outlet.

Yeah, you're starter is well over $150.00 though evinrude. And
actually, it's not all the dealers markup, though. They buy at dealer
from evinrude and sell at list. So Bombedier is makeing the cream.

I buy direct from a whosale distributorship

yes, your nav lights are a good idea and they don't draw hardly
anything, so you could be out all night and with a typical 650a. car
battery you're lights should be just fine.

If you did want to restor your charging system though, that's out of
my league, but there should be some aftermarket houses that could fix
you up at a reasonable cost, though.
