Yes Sir.

I can't imagine what would happen if an openly gay guy walked into the
barracks,
dropped his bag on the floor, and said, "Here I am, boys."

Oh you can imagine, and so can I. It's the reason why we're both
against dropping the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.

As long as they do not try to push gayness on the other guys, and do their
jobs well, the rest of the military will mostly not care. And the unit will
protect their gay if he does his job. Already happens that way in the
British military. sure there will be some problems at first, but most units
will know if they have a gay in their midst now, and I do not here of
fraggings for gayness. Maybe for being an asshole / bad leader, but that
has happened for maybe a couple thousand years of military action.

I think you may be right, in most cases. It really depends on the gay and how he
behaves with regard to his duty and his personal interactions with the rest of
his unit. If he's one who is flaunting his gayness in their faces, he won't last
long, or his behavior will change.

Yep. Guys like John and DAB who try to buck policy will get tossed in
the stockade/brig for a spell, then washed out of the military.
Or they can obey the damned orders and stay.
Their choice.

Jim - I think queers are unnatural, but know when to keep my mouth shut.

You should, perhaps, think before you start with the accusations.

You're a moron. A lot "depends on the (person" and how "he (or she) behaves.

The real vote on this will be at the enlistment office.
If the southern rednecks who make up the core of the infantry do not
show up and the current ones fail to reenlist expect a draft or a
sharp decrease in our ability to wage these crusades.
You can't run a war with interpreters and language specialists.

Since most of the public supports its repeal, I doubt that's going
to stop
recruitment. People act as though there are no gays in the
military. The
point of repealing this is so that those who are there don't have
to lie
about it.

You really are stupid.

I used to think it was a put-on. But unfortunately, like donny, it's
the real deal.
The old commercial with the egg sizzling in the pan comes to mind.
What a waste.

Taking the 'Palm Sisters' out on the town this weekend?

Dumb response. Can't you do a *little* better?

You see, the uptick in recruiting levels has nothing to do with asking
or telling, but instead it has everything to do with BO's jobless
"recovery". The emporer is spending us into the ground, and even the
teenagers now understand.

it's funny watching the right spin this. their policies would have
produced 25% unemployment, like 1929.

It's evident from your posts that if you completed high school and
have a high school diploma, it was because of social promotions.

"I can prove I have further education than he..." Now there is a
Scott-ism. I believe you mentioned more than once that you completed
some car repair course of study. Well, you've got me there...I don't
*any* car repair trade school certificates.

Why didn't he stick with that trade?
Didn't like getting his hands dirty?

The customers didn't like the sockets he left inside the cylinder heads.

Spoofer alert! How would you get a socket "inside the cylinder heads".

Simple, bozo, you lie about it.
