And I suppose you were a flea on the wall and heard every word of what
transpired.
We do know one thing for sure. Obie wasn't pleased to have a four star
general of the army spit in his face.

The general was an out-of-control asshole whose mission, the one he
designed and implemented, was failing. He has a long history of shooting
off his mouth. He also has a booze problem, and wasn't he the general
who covered up the Tillman cluster****?

Generals are a dime a dozen.

Obama let him resign rather than fire him so that the general could keep
that fourth star and the benefits it brings. The general had no class.
The president does have class.

The four stars get you a little more in your retirement check, a better
table at the O-club and that is about it.

As you said Generals are a dime a dozen.

They really can't order him to resign but they can make it the most
attractive option.
Usually, in these situations, the guy actually wants the freedom to
speak freely so he goes. I just hope we don't have to hear the "old
soldier" speech.
I imagine he will be doing the Sunday shows the weekend after he is
separated. Then we will hear what he really thinks.

I think we already know what he "really thinks." The point is that it was
insubordination, and that can't be tolerated in the command staff.

My bet is we ain't heard nothin' yet.
This guy will write a book and do the talk show circuit, probably
ending up with a show on Fox or CNN.
I expect to see him Sunday if he gets mustered out by then.

He won't retire until the last day of a month. Most likely July 31st.

Bush fired Shinseki for telling the truth at a congressional hearing

Well, yet again it's all about what might or might not happen. The fact
is
that he was insubordinate and that was way off base. He knew this, but he
was so arrogant that it didn't matter. His reputation will be tarnished
for
his dismissal (and for other things like the Tilman debacle).

This guy still has a lot of credibility. You don't get to where he was
without it.

Yes, and he lost a lot also.

It is clear he was very frustrated with the people in the White House.

So what. He should have followed the prescribed protocol and not
complained to a reporter. That's called insubordination.

I have already been criticized about my guess that he will say Obama
wants to get out before the job was done. (disagreeing with the

Fortunately that guess will be tested on Sunday I imagine so we will

Disgraced is a stretch. He said some inappropriate things about his

of people who are not happy with the way the war is going and think we
should be ramping up, not winding down. Bob P seems to be one of them

Ramping up in Afghanistan would get us what, exactly, besides billets

Guess he might as well polish up the fishing rods and go
fishing.

notice he never complains about the rich white frat boy who
screwed
this whole thing up?

Bush fired or "retired" many generals for speaking out. I think
Obama should not fire him unless he believes that McCrystall
can no
longer do the job he was assigned to do.

Obama's ego will cause McCrystal to be fired.

Your ego needs to be self-inflated to compensate for your obvious
lack of intelligence.

Was he fired or not, Dippy?

He was fires for insubordination, as opposed to what Bush did... fire
people for stating facts, Dufus.

He resigned, probably was put to him, resign with full pension or I
will fire you for my ego and cause you pension grief.

He chose wisely and resigned.

He didn't have a choice. He was told to resign. He follows orders.
You're an idiot.

Guess Obama is now also going to have to fire a judge saying even the
Obama must follow due process.

Obama is an arrogant big mouth ass hole.

Whoo... something crawled up your butt... work it out with a pencil.

Nope, nothing there. So I will not need your expert services using a
pencil. Besides I hear you used it an stuck your brain.

Definitely something is up your butt.. you're really upset because Obama is
President and you're a loser.

I don't think the upper echelon wanted to catch Osama.

I always suspected that too. If they catch him, they have to stop
looking for him and lots of people are out of work. If we didn't have
Osama we would have to invent one.

Yep, keeps people diverted from government dyfunction. Gives the
governemnt the bull**** line "We need to defend America" crap. Allows
governemtn to loosen up the purse strings for corruption.

Because why not just figure out where Sadam was, then blow the whole
city block to kindom come. In, out, dirt cheap and no Americans (or UK,
AU or CAD) need uselessly dies for a culture of hate, war, barberism.

And if it got worse, some low yeild nukes. Clean kind like neutron
types that even leave the building standing.

But gives the people the false notion government needs to be so freaking
big when in fact they could be 1/2 the size at no risk.

Sorry that was a BP thing. He doesn't think that is the way McC is

The Sunday morning talk shows. I am sure he will be on a couple of
them.

And we care because? He's a disgraced ex-officer who made a fool of
himself.
The only thing he did that was positive and appropriate was tender his
resignation.

Disgraced is a stretch. He said some inappropriate things about his
boss but I imagine half the country agrees with him. There are plenty
of people who are not happy with the way the war is going and think we
should be ramping up, not winding down. Bob P seems to be one of them
and calls me a coward because I want to see our kids come home alive.

Come on! He got fired (basically). He was a commanding general, now he's
a civilian. The President of the United States told him not to let the
door hit him in the butt on the way out. He went out the back gate. Even
McCain said he screwed up big time and it was inappropriate.

No idea who Bob P is. Not sure what that has to do with a fired army
officer.

No big. He will now make more money on a single interview than you
have for decades, total.

If he plays it right, he might end up in 2012 saying to Obama, don't
let the door hit you too hard on the way out ass hole.

Just like Sarah Palin... quits as governor so she can rake in the bucks.

You mean like Barack Mein Kampf? He is after all 1/2 black and 1/2
English-German American. Obama was even concieved out of wedlock so it
mystifies me why you dimwit democriters go after Sarah's daughter or
whatever the ruckas was.

Sara has sent more of her life in the USA than Barack, in fact she knew
baseball, free markets while Obama was playing boy Marxist in Jakarta
with step dad. Unlike cristian of convenience Obama with a dad and
step-dad which he so admired, both Muslim BTW... Sarah at least was to
church many times before she was 27 and knew lots of Americans before
her 12th birthday. Just about when Obama was learning his jive talk
english.

Did you know he only worked a few years in a legal office before being
run out? Been on the government hind his whole life.

For a so called "woman" you sure hate women. What is the real problem?
She is white? Come clean you fat skank.

At last get a real American like Colin Powell. Not some street jive
talking idiot that gets the black vote because he has a big mouth and
knee jerk attitude.

If you play it right, you'll be able to graduate from high school someday!

I doubt you did, or the county must have had pretty low standards.
