![]() "bpuharic" wrote in message ... as y'all know, i replaced a starter in my boat, started it from the upper helm station and promptly destroyed the starter. tim helped me understand the starter switch is probably staying engaged and keeping the bendix in the flywheel. so i need to replace this switch. getting it out is no problem. the problem is, what am i looking for? can i get a 1 for 1 replacement? if not, what should i be looking for? i dont have a wiring diagram for the switch so am flying blind. any help would be appreciated. Get the best marine switch you can afford with a rain cover over the key opening. off-on-(momentary)start is all you need unless you have an aux wire and think you need an aux position. |
