"in those days" Are you implying that it isn't anymore? New Haven went into a decline for a couple of decades, but, Phoenix-like, is now rising again, with lots of revitalization downtown, and in the near suburbs. I expect the public schools, which also fell into decline, will recover, too. Before, during and after I attended the public schools, New Haven's schools were considered the best in the state. If memory serves, the decline coincided with the Reagan Administration. I don't know that there was a connection. They sure went to hell in a handbasket. Your school is ranked lowest in the state. How could that have happened. Too many dropouts who joined the navy and then returned to get GEDs? I have no idea what caused the decline; I don't keep up with the status of public schools in Connecticut. Why aren't you in pensacola, shoveling BP's oil turds off the beaches? |
