Default I figured out how to plug the gulf pipe leak...

....And to make it safter for fisherman, fish, boaters and the
environement.

Instead of pumping 'mud into the thing and achieving bland results,
why doesn't BP try to clog up the pipe by cramming it full of tree
roots and a few tampons?

It works at my house!

Tampons? lol

How about inserting a metal device, much like a tampon that can slowly
expand until the pipe is sealed. Then put a new connection on the end of the
pipe with an extension to the surface, as they intend to do with the top
cap. Then, the device could be opened up and oil would flow again.

I think that was actually considered but the drill pipe broke off at a
twisted angle, which makes it much more difficult. Last time I knew
they sent a robot down with a saw, to hack it off below the bend, and
the saw got hung up in the pipe or that's the last word I heard about
it.

If they can hack it flat that would relieve a lot of complications and
make capping it much esier.

You're an idiot. Have you never heard of a stent? This would be the
opposite.
