My lover Harry boats all of the time. He's done it all. Rounded the
horn, transited the Panama Canal several times, everything! His dad even
made a trans-Atlantic trip in a runabout in November! He's like a god to
me.

That you Looney? If I were you I'd pay more attention to your Engineering
Technician job and less on your homo fantacies.

There you go again. Someone mentions Harry and you immediately get 'homo
fantacies (sic)' on the brain again.

All decisions are the result of binary thinking,
which is why conservatives can see in black and white.

It looks like most of the people in here spend all of their time calling
each other names, has anyone in rec.boats own a boat, use a boat, know
someone who once saw a boat?

I have a boat, but I spend so much time here, I rarely get to use it.

Absolutely yes. We have lost a lot of good people who were serious
boaters because of all the BS that goes on. Probably many more took
one look and never came back. It might be interesting to start a list
of the MIAs. Here's a beginning:

Chuck Gould
Tom Francis
NOYB from Naples, FL
Gene Kearns
Eisboch
Wayne (Clams) Canino
Lloyd Sumpter
Karl Denninger
Larry from Charleston
Karen Smith
Bill Grannis
Dave Brown
Vic Smith
Del Cecchi
Capt. Bill in Sarasota
Steve Weingart
Steven Shelikoff
Norm (N.L.) Eckert
Russ Glindmeier

I'm sure there are lots of others.

I drop in and out, sometimes just because of the signal to noise ratio. As
you can see, I have been recently absent for a few weeks. I will be gone
again in three days, probably for another three weeks, and figure at that
time, I can tune back in, and like an ex-wife of mine, not miss anything she
had said.

One time, I did not talk to her for 23 months. She hated to be interrupted.

When I do have a boating question, I pop in, ask it, and take the answers
and run. This is a great group for getting advice and experience and
knowledge. There are just a ton of lonely looney people here who have a lot
of extra time, Vaseline, and a keyboard.

And that's just a fraction of the list.

There used to be some great boating stories and advice here.

Most of it in fact.

I thought about this a week or so ago and had an idea.
Do you think we could tag everything that strays off the boats as "OT"
I tried it for a while and nobody got the hint.
If we did, a person just looking for boat content could just filter
"OT" out. This would be a pretty empty NG tho ;-)

People who can't grasp that this is a newsgroup about boats probably
wouldn't grasp that concept either.
