Default Spring test outing a success

In the interest of posting something about boating my spring test run
was all good. I take a solo outing each spring at our local lake.
Nothing worse that having a boat load of people and then having
mechanical troubles on the first outing of the summer. I run it in
the driveway for a while first then if thats all good I go for the
lake. At the lake I cruise back and forth about a mile each way from
the ramps. That way I won't have trouble getting a tow back to the
ramp from a good samaritan if things don't go so well.

But it wasn't such a good day for others. Boat traffic was light but
someone was towing a big jetski with 2 adults and a kid on it back to
the ramp just as I was putting in. Then on 3rd pass at one end of my
run two people on their boat near the shore were waving both arms. I
went over and they had a dead battery. So I finished my test run by
towing them back to the dock.

I guess the boat gremlins were satisfied wth them because I escaped
unscathed.

I'm getting anxious to do the same.
As soon as the warm sunny weather returns, I'll hook the Yukon up to my RAV4
& head for the nearest lake for a shakedown run.

I think they recalled the installed vibrators. That's all I know about those
chickmobiles.

Well, I'm sure that if you sat on it, you'd have your biggest thrill since
you left the army.

Yup, my 2009 model needed the gas pedal fix.

Yup, my 2009 model needed the gas pedal fix.

They (Toyota) have been quiet but the last I read, or heard, was that it
was more than the pedal. It had to do with programming and they were
working on that fix. The floormat story was debunked over a month ago.
Both of my cars have the gas pedal hinged at the floor so there is no
chance of that problem.

I do the same, only I'm actually waiting to do the same. Weather here
has been really crappy. Saturday afternoon would have been absolutely
delicious, but too many honey-do's Sunday was a gourgous day but
Mothers day so that took care of that. Now we're supposed to be
getting in the 80's for the rest of the week and that's good, and it's
supposed to rain and rain hard for about all week, and that's bad.
Hopefully this saturday will be good enough for the launch that was
supposed to happen last friday.
