There are huge differences in noise level from one air boat to another
mostly depending on how the prop is made. 2 bladed props are noisiest
and the more blades, the less noise generally. The 6 blade ones I
have seen are far quiter than the old 2 bladed ones. Note that the
noise produced by the unmuffled exhaust is much less than the prop
noise.
