Can you raise your OB and drop your trolling motor in that area? Larry I wouldn't see why not. But i think it states that the lake is divided where in one section is for 'anything but gas' propulsion only. Shabbona Lake in central IL is a 10HP lake. *From what I have heard, you can't launch and use a boat with a larger motor and a 9.9 kicker even if that is the only motor you will use. Shabona is in northern/ central IL. around DeKalb if I remember corectly, and it's small. I think it's only about 400 acres, but don't quote me on that. I can understand the smaller lakes having hp restrictions. It's not but about 20 miles from me, but I think the Sam Dale park lake Johnsonville IL has a 10hp max on it too. But it's a really small lake of about 200 acres. It's a fishing lake and that's about it. I think there's some public lakes around central/southern IL, that are trolling motor only, though. |
