I have a Minn Kota 55 hand operated troll motor. The DPDT rocker switch
that does the forward/reverse broke into pieces. It is rectangular.
Has
anyone changed one of these, and do you think I can find one at NAPA, or
do I have to purchase the gold plated expen$ive one from MK?

Steve

Look on the side of the sw case and see if there are numbers or a name
like Cherry. Napa does carry some, or look at Digi-key or McMasters Car
for one with the same dimensions.

Been weathered in, and recovering, so haven't been out, really. Just
asking
in case another person had the same experience. I believe I can find a
replacement/substitute.

Steve

Is this the same size as the "snap in" switches for a range vent hood?
(1 1/4 x 3/8 or so?) If so there are lots of them at any appliance
parts place. They may even have them at a home store. The trick is
finding one with a DC rating. In that regard the auto parts place may
be a better choice. They use the same form factor in after market
accessories.

I really don't see any problem in this. I was just wondering if anyone had
a similar experience. I'm sure that I could take the switch out and go down
and either match it or get something close. Or shim it in. It gets light
duty.

Steve
