Thoughts on this "Cruising Model"

I have given serious consideration to a 10' Porta-bote and am about
ready to order one. Being basically cheap, that $1500 price tag
repels me. Making a folding dinghy is a possibility but will not
happen anytime soon.
For what they are, and I have seen several used, they seem to be a great tool
if it's the trade-off you need.
