We were throwing out an old sofa, and we started by throwing it off the balcony onto the back driveway. Then we thought of taking it apart a bit so it would be easier to take to the dump. Out came the axes, the sledgehammers, the chainsaw...we had a BALL!! You could probably charge money: $.50 per hit or something. Then take the pieces to the dump. Easy. Lloyd |

Gee. why not just throw it out at the launch ramp?
Make certain it's out far enough so it's still covered at low tide. I'm sure no one would mind. "Scott Downey" wrote in message ... It is large heavy and ugly. I was thinking of going into 40 foot or deeper water and heaving it over the side. Does anyone have a problem with this? In a few years the metal frame would be gone and of course the wood and cloth would rot as well. It is an old sleep sofa and IMO, too hard to lug back up the dock. |

a) that's moronic and possibly illegal
b) parts of the Patuxent River are 120+ feet deep. -- Marty S. Baltimore, MD USA "Scott Downey" wrote in message ... It is large heavy and ugly. You must be joking. I believe that all boaters are required to have a
sticker "MARPOL" for federal and international waters and a sticker for state waters. I bet it is illegal. What's next dumping your used motor oil - oh yea there is a sticker that says this is illegal too. "Scott Downey" wrote in message ... It is large heavy and ugly. Go ahead and dump it. By the looks of Isabel, the couch should end up in
Lake Erie by next weekend...where it would rapidly decompose from the pollutants. BTW...Maybe Isabel is headed towards Harry's hometown as punishment from the Gods for his remarks that he hopes the next terrorist attack hits Naples, FL. "Harry Krause" wrote in message ...
