That first rifle (With the wood stock) that he picked up is a 6.5x55
Swedish Mauser *"Ljungman" *(pronounced= *Lunge-mun) Model 98

I have one. Very finely and well built rifle that is sighted for 700
meters . Quality all the way!

BTW, I totally agree with the stickers on the inside of his gun safe.

Tim, I have been reading all about this rifle. *I have come to the
conclusion that it is a baaaad rifle. *Saying that, I would recommend
you get rid of it as soon as possible. *Living in the PRK where you
could get $100 for turning it in to the local police department, I'm
willing to give you $125 for it and I'll even pay for the shipping. *I
will then turn it in for you.
Let me know if this arrangement is satisfactory for you.
Eddie, in San Jose

Rd, i appreciate the offer, and I'll keep that in mind.

Tim, bring it to DC. I can get you a better deal.

Beautiful rifle Tim!
I like the concept that any potential robbers absolutely KNOW that the home
owner is armed and knows how to shoot. Great deterant.
Would work well here except for druggies. But they are at the mercy of thier
own stupidity.

That's a fine piece, but outdated, making it weak, short-range, and
inaccurate.
Relatively speaking, of course. But this is the 21st Century.
Get yourself a Barrett M82A1.
You won't regret it.
Sweeeeeeet.
And use good ear plugs and muffs. Both.

Too much fire power! That is unless I want to shoot though brick
buildings, besides I don't think they sling very well.

Nice rifle though.

The Ljungman is such a fine rifle with one of the most fantastically
ingenious loading systems I've seen. almost no kick. with the
exception of the obviously different ballistics I'd put it up against
an M-1 Garrand or M1-A1 varient any day. an AR15 is a great rifle but
for the longer accuracy the Ljungman takes it hands down.

The Egyptians tried to copy the Ljungman with the Hakim but chambered
in 30.06, and 8 mm. Mauser, but those are sort of a let down. They
tried to take the best of the Ljungman and the best of the M1-A1 and
put them together, and kinda missed the mark with both of them.

Some people like them, but I'm not a fan of the Hakim.

short notice.

Real purty guns - for target practice only.
Swiss will never fight anyone.
Bankers who will hold anybody's money secret got no need to fight.
Hoard the money, and always declare neutrality.
Works real good.

Lib - Swiss are libs - won't fight, can't fight. All mouth and accounting.

Great post. Hopefully some libs will see it.

They'll whine, but that's OK.
