Poor you! Did "they" take away your gun? Or, did they deny you one due to
some problem in your background, e.g., mental problems or criminal behavior?

That first rifle (With the wood stock) that he picked up is a 6.5x55
Swedish Mauser "Ljungman" (pronounced= Lunge-mun) Model 98

I have one. Very finely and well built rifle that is sighted for 700
meters . Quality all the way!

BTW, I totally agree with the stickers on the inside of his gun safe.

I have a CCW and your liberal spin was quite lame.

That's a nice rifle! I enjoyed the stickers, too, but it made me wonder
why he would have them if their firearm laws are so liberal.

If I remember correctly it was a Mauser my dad's friend had when I was little.
It was supposed to be a sniper rifle with an 1100 yard killing range. As I was
told it had offsetting gas pistons inside to compensate for kick. It was larger
than the weapons this guy had and very light colored, not the usual darker
colors of steel and wood but that's all I remember about it.

Tim, I have been reading all about this rifle. I have come to the
conclusion that it is a baaaad rifle. Saying that, I would recommend
you get rid of it as soon as possible. Living in the PRK where you
could get $100 for turning it in to the local police department, I'm
willing to give you $125 for it and I'll even pay for the shipping. I
will then turn it in for you.
Let me know if this arrangement is satisfactory for you.
Eddie, in San Jose
