You really can't blame either one of them on either party. In fact 51 of the 60 representatives who voted AGAINST the 2000 commodities deregulation act that allowed all of those credit default swaps were republicans. http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2000/roll603.xml The senate passed it with unanimous consent And, 133 voted for it.
