a church isnt a charity no matter how the right defines it. it's a
parasite

You do realize you are entertaining an ID spoofer...none of these Harry

conservatives give their pittances to their churches. *most liberals
dont have churches. we believe in govt organziations to take care of
the poor rather than lettting them starve in the streets like the
right believes

What an idiot you are. *Churches are some of the largest institutes
that take care of the destitute. *Just one of thousands of examples:

http://www.olivergospelmission.org/

and churches basically are large machines for making money and bribing
politicians to prevent justice

You can be sure that it's conservatives and their donations that fund
this highly successful organization. *After all, as you say, liberals
don't have a church and don't believe in taking care of their fellow
man themselves. *They'd rather have some faceless government agency do
it for them.

i guess you've never head of the red cross.

you give your money to your useless churches we give ours to the
useful red cross

But just a post before this you wrote: "most liberals dont have
churches. we believe in govt organziations to take care of the
poor..."

Now you're holding up the Red Cross as your organization? You do
realize that the Red Cross isn't a government organization, right?
From their own website: "the Red Cross is an independent, volunteer-
led organization, financially supported by voluntary public
contributions and cost-reimbursement charges." NOT a government
organization.

So what is it, idiot? Government organzations like you first said, or
the Red Cross after you changed your story? You do realize that
conservatives and *churches* donate to the Red Cross, right? It's NOT
a liberal organization, idiot.

This has to be donnie. No one else can present as this stupid.

Who gives the most in America: conservatives or liberals?
A. There is a persistent stereotype about charitable giving in
politically progressive regions of America: while people on the
political right may be hardworking and family-oriented, they tend not to
be very charitable toward the less fortunate. In contrast, those on the
political left care about vulnerable members of society, and are thus
the charitable ones. Understanding “charity” in terms of voluntary gifts
of money (instead of government income redistribution), this stereotype
is wrong.

The fact is that self-described “conservatives” in America are more
likely to give—and give more money—than self-described “liberals.” In
the year 2000, households headed by a conservative gave, on average, 30
percent more dollars to charity than households headed by a liberal. And
this discrepancy in monetary donations is not simply an artifact of
income differences. On the contrary, liberal families in these data
earned an average of 6 percent more per year than conservative families..

These differences go beyond money. Take blood donations, for example. In
2002, conservative Americans were more likely to donate blood each year,
and did so more often, than liberals. People who said they were
“conservative” or “extremely conservative” made up less than one-fifth
of the population, but donated more than a quarter of the blood. To put
this in perspective, if political liberals and moderates gave blood like
conservatives do, the blood supply in the United States would surge by
nearly half.

Krausie could have donated much, much more to Haiti if he hadn't
previously donated the proceeds of his father's (you know, the
Atlantic crossing / fireboat welcome dude) multimillion dollar
Evinrude dealership to charity.

That is all you know. I have donated my young bride to Haiti. She
will be giving free social work, free medical treatment and free
psychiatric care for the next 5 years. She will be working on her PhD
in Law and Economics while she is done there, so she will also be able
to give free legal advice and set up a sustainable economy during her
free time.

Then you will have to call her Dr. Dr. Dr. Karen.
