In any case, Tess could not stand, unless she could lean against the wall. After another hour or so she could not stand at all. So we sat on the floor with her for a few hours until we got a call back from the vet. Took her in. The vet checked her over, saying there was nothing more could be done. So, at about 8:15 this morning, we put this girl to sleep. She was within three months of being 15 years old. We'll miss her. http://tinyurl.com/29433a true tragedy and my deepest sympathies. we damn near lost our 2 1/2 year old standard poodle to bloat last year....we were really beside ourselves til the vet said she'd be OK after major surgery... truly...my sympathies. |
