the Mid Atlantic states and rips their houses up. An earthquake that
would not even make a Californian look out the window, would destroy a
large number of buildings in Memphis and St Louis (The New Madrid

It can be done via several places including the US State Dept. I believe. I
was thinking that the US (and other) militaries will get involved, and they
are doing that, apparently.

It's got a history of getting ugly there... perhaps a breeding ground for
terrorists, so all the help we can give them would surely pay off.

Well, the Military has the Care (hospital ship) standing by but is
sending a flat top carrier for now according to the guy I saw talking
yesterday. He said the flat top could do everything the Care could do
for now. He did note that if needed the Care could be sent in too...

The looting may be a problem, but Haiti is not a Muslim country, so it
shouldn't turn into another Baghdad.

I would like to have seen a bunch of C-17s with bucket loaders and
dump trucks aboard. It looks like that's what's needed right now,
along with water and food of course.

More Brian Williams and Anderson Coopers are not the solution, that's
for damn sure. I'm sure Geraldo Rivera and Amanpour are right behind.
Wonder when Olberman will show up.

Actually these Haitians are more resourceful than the people in NOLA.

And they are getting aid quicker to Haiti than they did in NOLA
