Yes, unless you want to pay through the nose for a non-stop. Most go to NYC with a layover http://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dll...ct=1&rfrr=-429 |

Flying is a hassle, because of security and because of the passengers are crap attitude of the airlines. If there were an overnight ferry, I'd consider it. My in-laws come up here on an overnight train from NE Florida. 12-hour trip. They like it. Includes dinner and a sleeper compartment. No airport/airline bull****. **** the airlines. |

This may be a guy trying to cash in on the federal handout for ferries. There is a guy here who wants to start ferry service from Ft Myers Beach to Sanibel and he said it was just to get the grant money. Nobody can really point out the need. The Sanibel folks are saying "... and then what"? The dock on their end is right in the middle of a residential area with no services or easy way to get the people to a tourist area. Of course Sanibel folks would be happier if everyone who doesn't live there would just stay home. They tolerate the shops on "Bullwinkle drive" but they don't want you to go anywhere else. This could be a replacement for the 'Cat' ferry that was just cancelled between Yarmouth NS and Portland, Maine Provincial govt' got tired of subsidizing that to the tune of millions each year. |

After all, why would he need a fly when he's got nothing to take out of it. |

We have new equipment coming in that would highlight his short comings. http://thechronicleherald.ca/Canada/1160903.html |
