I drive down there about once a week, and today's ice was the first I've seen this year or, in fact, in several years. I remember one year the inner harbor in Deale, Maryland, was completely iced over for several weeks. Doubt the ice is thick enough to walk on and I have no intentions of finding out. Not a biggy...we simply don't see much of this down here in the mid-Atlantic area. Speaking of ice.... I still have about 4" left from 2 weeks ago.... that usually means more is on the way.... Speaking of ice, I need some more for my drink. Luckily I live at 3700' elevation, and we don't get a lot. My cabin gets socked in for 4-5 months a year, though. The Interstate near us climbs from 3700 to 5000 in 13 miles, and another 1,000 ft. in the next 13 miles. Always lots going on there with the California and Nevada drivers. Steve Where are you at? Where do you boat? We boat at New Melones a few times per year. --Mike |
