Ice...it's soooo nice.

Drove down to the local marina early this morning and noted that the
channel was pretty much iced over, though not solidly. I drive down
there about once a week, and today's ice was the first I've seen this
year or, in fact, in several years. I remember one year the inner harbor
in Deale, Maryland, was completely iced over for several weeks.

Doubt the ice is thick enough to walk on and I have no intentions of
finding out.

Not a biggy...we simply don't see much of this down here in the
mid-Atlantic area.

Seeing how you wish so much ill will on others, one can only hope that
you fall on your fat ass and need a hip replacement.

Speaking of ice.... I still have about 4" left from 2 weeks ago....
that usually means more is on the way....

Speaking of ice, I need some more for my drink. *Luckily I live at 3700'
elevation, and we don't get a lot. *My cabin gets socked in for 4-5 months a
year, though. *The Interstate near us climbs from 3700 to 5000 in 13 miles,
and another 1,000 ft. in the next 13 miles. *Always lots going on there with
the California and Nevada drivers.

Looks like the temps are going to really get to cooling here. 4
degrees above tonight w/ a high of 22 tomorrow, and maybe a high of 16
for Sunday.

Are you getting the wind now? I saw some wind chill factors out in the
flatlands as low as -27! Yikes, frozen Timmy sticks!

Right now, it's 26F in my backyard, with wind gusts in the 20 mph range.
Weather report says we might have wind gusts up to 50 mph today...

I live on a ranch near Toquerville, Utah. I fish Quail Hollow, Navajo Lake,
Pine Lake, Posey Lake, Lake McGath, Panguitch Lake, Minersville Lake, and a
lot of the streams around SW Utah. Several of the lakes around here now
have mercury warnings as vestiges from mining days. One is the new Sand
Hollow, near us. But they do have some nice bass over there, and I believe
next time my buddy comes from Vegas, we'll go over and catch and release
some and see if we can get a few nice pictures. What a shame, new lake.
