So I'm really not sure of the guy yet, but I'm beginning to take a
look at some of the stuff Al Franken is doing. like, standing up to
old party hardliners on both sides of the fence, questioning the
dubious acts of the Healthcare bill etc.

Here' you read it and I'll shut up.

Of course he is D'Plume. If Quasimodo's spine was sitting in Frankens
chair, it would no doubt look straight to you also!

You really need to work on you witty responses.

You expect witty responses from the gaggle of right-wing morons here?
Lower your level of expectations.

Eh, Loog. you know me. I'm the kind of guy that likes to sit back and
watch. I'm not a fan of politics or politicians. I jsut watching to
see what Franken is doing. Maybe busting us the good 'ol boys club is
good, but then again, his regardless of party, his 'in your face'
attitude might come back to bite him if he chews on the wrong one at
the right time. I consider the capitpl round table to be a club more
than anything and it might provide some entertainement to watch junior
Franken as he snuggles his way in on the elite.

I got plenty of popcorn...

A lot of reformers end up serving only one term. Seems like they can't get
the endorsements they need for reelection. I think the guy is one level
above pond scum, but as stated, let's see what he can do. He may be a poor
excuse for a comedian and person, but maybe he can help change some things
that need to be changed. Or even just shake the tree.

I'm of the opinion that we need to make some changes to the old bribery
scam that runs our government. Make it impossible for any person to hold
any office for two terms in succession in the same office. If they are of
quality, they could run for a position in the other house of Congress,
President or supreme court justice "if qualified". Stagger all so they are
rotated every two years except the President. The supreme court would
rotate three of the nine every two years giving them a four year term.
They can rerun for any position as many times as they are able to succeed
just no two terms in a row.

More than a limited two party system and do away with a representative
republic with the electoral college. Direct vote by the popular vote to
rule. The country is smaller in it's ability register a vote at the speed
of light that the internet and phone lines represent. Make some real
changes quickly. Pull out and discard the weeds as it is.

We will never achieve self rule with an antiquated constitution. We were
brain washed from elementary school that this is the best and only system.
It is no longer a living document. It has been choked to death by a ruling
party system that only represents two limited views, for limited amounts of
time. Always for sale.

We now have a bunch of "GOLD" bricks that know nothing except were to hide
the gold.

For the rest of you, keep rowing up stream, the falls are still behind you.

Sorry, there is no link for this.

I believe there should be term limits on all politicians

I dont' agree that the constitution is antiquated. But I do believe
the process works well when adhered to.

If that applies to too many long termers, you got that right!

See if they wanted to learn how to make witty responses, they would
emulate me.

At this time of year, the only good Christian is a dead Christian. If
all of today's Christians were tied to the stake, Jesus would like the
match to burn them all.
