Ah, The Perfect Wave is a true story, unlike Caddyshack (although I'm

Don't know how surfing got in here. But that's ok.

Should be touch on the subject of fisherman and God?

Neptune and Poseidon. More benevolent Gods than the golfer's
overseer, who is wrathful, vengeful, and shoots lightning at golfers.
Which was written, and so shall be.
And quite rightfully so, IMO.

I beg to differ. If the golf gods are sufficiently satisfied that
you've paid your dues, they reward you with moments of joy.

On my last round this fall, I shot 3 under par, 3 consecutive birdies,
all witnessed by a buddy who usually beats me by several strokes. Not
on that day. The gods were smiling on me.

I haven't played since.

Actually, the President does dictate the budget.

What is the first thing that the House does with the budget when they
receive it from the president? Throw it on the shelf.

and the pres does the same to the house budget when he gets it

Actually he can't do that. Either has to veto it or pass it. To pass it,
he either signs the bill or lets 10 days pass. The only time that can not
happen is on a "Pocket Veto". And most budgets are not passed less than 10
days before adjournment.

Not necessarily. It's called a Pocket Veto.

I don't know if it's true or not but I've heard that some actually

God does not dwell in churches only, he is all around us. Besides you
hear more praying on the golf course than you do in the pews.

I know I've heard his name mentioned a few times out there, usually in
reference to his brother Dammit however.

As I stated, there is a pocket veto, but when is a budget passed within 10
days of adjournment?
