http://www.jsonline.com/news/wisconsin/70573047.html When we took our houseboat through the Chain of Rocks canal above St. Louis, the Asian Carp were jumping behind their boat as we were moving through the lock, at times up to 6' above the water. I was able to catch a couple holding a dip net over the water behind the boat. We had a v-bottom aluminum boat in tow behind the houseboat, and when we reached the Chain of Rocks lock, we took time to throw the carp that had trapped themselves in it out of the boat. A big carp can take a person out of a small boat, and it has happened (especially on the Illinois river). -- Posted via NewsDemon.com - Premium Uncensored Newsgroup Service -------http://www.NewsDemon.com------ Unlimited Access, Anonymous Accounts, Uncensored Broadband Access |
