Might be fun. Need to find a cheap parasail though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdJRxm0hiTY Wonder how quickly fuel savings disappear when the para sail cable wraps around the screw shaft. No harm trying it out though. Obligatory fishing video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sA-4wcaRM9w Crazy stuff. Seems like way too much work and tangles. Fun flying a kite maybe, but a goofy way to fish. I can think of more fun ways to get out past the surf to fish remotely. Electric motorized surfboard deal, with radio controlled reel brakes releasing the baited hook(s) when you get in position. Mount a camera too. Maybe a GPS too. Control it all from a laptop on the beach. Predator fishing so to speak. Anyway, I don't care for any of it. I like to see/feel that rod tip bend over and the scream of the line overpowering the drag. Then, as you battle the fish in the hot sun, while encouraged to fight on by your mates, they taking turns wiping the sweat from your eyes as your arms ache more and more, you all wonder what power of the depths will surface from the seas at the end of your line. The battle is long and the shadows move across the deck as the sun arcs across the sky. Finally the catch is brought near the surface, and just in time, as your arms are now leaden weights. The sense of wondrous anticipation is by now unsustainable. Probably a good thing that you wake up. Besides that, you don't want the coffee your wife made you to get cold. Heavy coffee, BTW. That's how it works for me, anyway - when I'm lucky. --Vic |
