"Faked science" is easy to ignore. OTOH, how do you ignore the real
science? ;-)

What real science? ;) ;) I am of the school of thought that looks at
a commercial for instance where trick photography or tricky editing
makes a product look good. If they have to trick you to make it look
good I tend to dismiss the product completely. For instance, there is
that annoying guy with the over priced orange towels. He has a part in
the commercial where he pours soda on a piece of carpet then cleans it
all up by pressing the towel into the carpet. If you watch carefully you
see that the clip is cut and a drier carpet is substituted... I won't
buy his towels knowing he is selling snake oil...

Sounds like a cardboard boat project. Perhaps that is why it is fresh in
your mind.

You gotta love it when Toskie comments on that which is beyond his
capability of understanding, and that would would science, math, history,
politics, sociology, childrearing and building of boats capable of being
launched into Long Island Sound.

The "over-priced orange towels..."commercial...

Yes, that's something worth pondering and analyzing.

I could see Snotty trying to pitch 'ShamWow' cloths....pony tail& all.
He'd make that Vince guy look like a movie star.

A new nick - Scotty Sham-Wow!

Before all the technology and computers, most decent boat projects
started with scale models. Problem?

The problem is that in most OT discussions in this group you are in way
over your head. I suspect you have tried to sail a full sized cardboard
boat. Lucky for you the mooring line was still attached to the dock cleat.

I also suspect you have tried it more than once.

And I suppose you find yourself much more qualified?ploink

Everyone is more qualified, Scotty Sham-wow.

I'm not saying that pollution isn't an issue, that eco systems don't

they've been lost in the great Global Warming Wars which, as it is
turning out, is a bogus crisis.

How do you jibe this, with your following statement? I mean, how do you
know it's a "bogus crisis", when there is no "real research and science"?

Hopefully we can start doing real research and science once this blows
over.

Isn't that exactly what is happening right now, albeit more publicly than
is normal for most science? The process is, by nature, ugly, but science
*is* doing it's job.

For those flat earthers, those that think these emails are some sort of
smoking gun, you may want to consider:

"More interesting is what is not contained in the emails. There is no
evidence of any worldwide conspiracy, no mention of George Soros
nefariously funding climate research, no grand plan to ‘get rid of the
MWP’, no admission that global warming is a hoax, no evidence of the
falsifying of data, and no ‘marching orders’ from our socialist/communist/
vegetarian overlords. The truly paranoid will put this down to the
hackers also being in on the plot though."

From:

http://www.realclimate.org/index.php.../the-cru-hack/

How do you know what was or wasn't said? According to your site,

"Update: The official UEA statement is as follows:

“We are aware that information from a server used for research
information
in one area of the university has been made available on public
websites,”
the spokesman stated.

“Because of the volume of this information we cannot currently
confirm
that all of this material is genuine.”"

Hell, even the UEA cannot confirm what is or is not in the material.
Perhaps the folks you quoted don't know what they're talking about?

Perhaps you're a little quick to quote?

And look who is in the middle of this conspiracy to eliminate dissent
and supress free and open scientific discovery.

Michael "Mr. Hockey Stick" Mann.

This guy has done more damage to national economies than anybody else
in modern history.

He should be put in jail to rot forever.

Uh-huh...and with your non-existent reputation in peer-reviewed science,
you should be placed in hack with your BFF Short**** Ingersoll.

You attempted to steer the conversation away from the facts, that much
of the 'science' is made up bull****.

Good try.
