I'm sure you've heard Rossini's "Barber of Seville." It's hard not to
enjoy, especially for Looney Tunes afficianados.

Looney Tunes seems appropriate for Scott Ingersoll...he of the arrested
development.

lots of plays with my mom as a kid, Man of LaMancha, Pajama Game, Lil'
Abner, Oklahoma, Fiddler on the Roof, Guys and Dolls, and several other
less known shows... I still find Luck be a lady tonight stuck in my

Well, when I make coffee, my wife says it tastes like battery acid.
Like, how would she know what battery acid tastes like? I've tasted
battery acid, and believe me, coffee is better.

That's kind of a rite-of-passage into manhood, isn't it, drinking
battery acid?

Well, I never actually DRANK it, and not by the mouthful, but I have
tasted it.

Several, several years ago in another lifetime, I drank stuff that may
as well have been battery acid, though.

My kids were in the local High School production of "Fiddler on the
Roof." My son was the Rabbi. I had introduced my children to the
movie version, with Topol, years earlier. My son was also in "Beauty
and the Beast," playing the part of Gaston's sidekick. He had gotten
a scholarship in college in musical production. Unfortunately, he
never stayed with it. He's a bit of an underachiever.

After I wrote my response, it occurred to me that "Steppenwolfe" could
be confused with Herman Hesse' novel, though the spelling still
wouldn't be correct. I'm too busy this morning to be writing notes in
the NG anyway. Oh well, back to the grind... :)
