If the Democrats have enough votes to pass the friggin' health bill, why are we reading about lobbyists screwing up the passage. Surely it's not *Democrats* being influenced by those damn lobbyists! Only Republicans, or so liberals say, are lacking in the integrity needed to do what's best for the country. Or maybe that's not the case. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/11/he..._r=1&th&emc=th Yes, that's the problem... They're all being influenced by the Ins. special interest. There's just too much money floating around. This is not, in my opinion, a Dem. vs. Rep. issue. This is a national crisis. I don't get why these people (both sides) feel that they couldn't just say screw you to the Ins. lobby. It would be a political hot-potato if either side took the money and voted against reform. Instead they act like they can't get reelected without the money. They should be using their opponent's Ins. lobby derived finances as a campaign point. No, the problem is not both sides. The problem is your 'holier than thou' Democrats who are caving to the dollar signs. The Dems don't need the Republicans to pass the damn bill. They need the Republicans as a whipping boy 'cause they can't get their hands out of the till. Typical liberals. I agree with this post. |
