I am old enough to remember when some called RPN a slur. We were supposed to come up with another "P" word. That may have been in the same memo as NFG and RCH Polish friend in Baltimore was in one of my NCR classes in disk drives. Instructor is talking about Fibonacci recording and the increased density. Joe states straight faced that they should use Polinacci recording. Much higher density. Instructor quizzes Joe and he says you do not move the disk and when you have piled up enough 1 and 0's a micro switch makes and you index the disk. We are in hysterics and the instructor is trying to figure out if Joe is serious or not. |
