Default More Union payoffs = ObamaCare

The latest example is the $10 billion taxpayers will be asked to shell
out to prop up the United Auto Workers’ retiree health insurance
program. …

uh...that was done already under bush as part of the reorganization of
GM

in addition, the bush administration has engineered a real
unemployment rate of over 16% and climbing. so this is just more
'blame obama for bush's failure' garbage

In effect, it would ask every taxpayer, regardless of whether they’ll
have health insurance coverage themselves after they retire — and most
won’t — to chip in to maintain the UAW’s coverage, which even after
the union’s givebacks is still better than what the average American
worker receives."

every taxpayer has already been taxed to support shearson lehman,
goldman sachs, bear stearns and other companies run for the benefit
of the rich...

it's funny to watch the right complaining that ordinary americans will
get the benefits that bush engineered for the rich, paid for by the
middle class

Well, that surely makes anything Obama does OK!

Tell your boy that. He's still spending the money. Let's see, I think
he's killed 49 in Afghanistan this month.

I agree that it was all wasted. However, that does not justify what Obama
and the Congress is doing with regard to UAW.

True enough. But that was over how many years? *We just spent that and
more on bailing out Unions, GM, Chrysler, ACORN and just 13% of $780
Billion in one year was spent on things that were actually important.

One year compared to...um...8?

Some of us consider it all wasted.

Some of us believe that the recent "stimulus" package is a complete
waste and, frankly, have been proven in general, right.

You forget "pesky" facts like the stock markets are rebounding quite
well, Ford has had a good quarter, GM is coming back, houses starts in
many markets are up, etc.

Most economists figured it would start to pick up about now anyway,
without porkulous...

really? like who?

Maybe the righties have been deluded into believing the "rich buddies"

Okay, let's go with that. Tell me how you know for a fact that it would
have picked up without the stimulus package.
I never said fact. I clearly said, and I will quote.

"Most economists figured it would start to pick up about now anyway,

and the fact still stands...

Oh, so you just speculated in order to once again, say something
negative about Obama?
No, I have just heard a handful of economists say that... In Dem
thinking, that is a concensus, "settled" as it were. snerk

Just how DO all "dems" think?

I don't know how you all think, but you throw like girls!
