The Kennedys were never American Royalty, they were simply Yankee White trash with illegally obtained wealth that they used to buy political office and cultivate their image. Joseph Kennedy was a notable Anti-semite and Nazi sympathizer, nothing more than a rich Yankee redneck. Jack Kennedy actually lost the election of 1960 but the election in Illinois was rigged by the Daley regime using Kennedy money and Nixon (yes, THAT Nixon) agreed not to pursue recounts because it would divide the nation. Jack Kennedy's entire short term of office was a disaster from the Bay of Pigs to the Cuban missile crisis, both caused by his astonishing stupidity. While we had a few advisors in South Viet Nam under Eisenhower, Kennedy put the first ground troops there thus starting the Viet Nam war. Kennedy's term of office was such a disaster that Oswald may have done us all a favor. Forty six years later, we are still paying for the results of his stupidity with the Cuban Embargo.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Jack never had a chance to show his true worth. United States and Turkey concluded an agreement to deploy one Jupiter squadron on NATO's southern flank. One squadron totaling 15 missiles was deployed at 5 sites near İzmir, Turkey from 1961 to 1963. They were operated by U.S. Air Force personnel. so the missiles were PLANNED to be deployed BEFORE kennedy took office. moreover, given the massive amount of soviet hardware in europe, the only way to tactically balance forces was by the use of nuclear (for you right wingers, that's 'nukular') missiles And the Bay of Pigs, what kind of moron would agree to such a thing AND then not support it once it was going? As your charge of hypocrisy is baseless, I think that you have made the charge because you know that Dems are hypocrites and you accept it. On this sad day, there is solace in realizing that your side of the fence, the conservative, Republican side, has done virtually nothing via legislation or leadership by elected officials, to improve the plight of middle and lower families in this country. ...middle and lower income families... Ted Kennedy was a soviet apologist who effectively caused the Soviet union to exist years longer than necessary and as a result we had Chernobyle and thousands sent to Gulags. Ted effectively drowned in the blood of his own victims. But let me just take a guess here..... When he worked with Bush to enact No Child Left Behind, he was great huh? The US Dept of Education should be abolished. Just because you were too stupid to go to college after high school and went into the marines instead doesn't mean there isn't a place for the U.S. Department of Education in the scheme of things. Yeah, make sure you spit on his grave in honor of those that he helped by his work on ending Apartheid, his work for peace in Northern Ireland, his sponsorship of the Family Opportunity Act which gave Medicaid to children with special needs, his work for Civil Rights, the Americans with Disabilities Act, womens rights, education in the form of No Child Left Behind, etc. Your wishing lethal disease on someone is dispicable, something only someone like Harry would do. |

Now, if only Barney Frank would get Kaposi's sarcoma............ and i'm looking forward to taking a nice long **** on reagan's grave. there's a man who deserves hell for what? I don't think that, but what does amaze me is that conservatives, who *say* they want less government, less taxes, etc. make the man out as a saint, when in fact, he raised payroll, income and gasoline taxes, some of them among the largest in our history. He promised to limit government and eliminate the Departments of Education and Energy. Instead, when faced with congressional and popular opposition, he relented and even grew government by adding a secretary of veteran affairs to the Cabinet. Another thing conservatives say they want is more secure borders. Reagan's 1986 comprehensive immigration bill turned out to be the most liberal amnesty for illegal aliens in our nation's history, and set the stage for the present problem of 12 million aliens here unlawfully. |

Your idea that his protracted death from cancer is comparable to a five minute drowning is ridiculous. Look up cancer treatment side effects, such as x-rays to the throat and never swallowing anything solid again. Some cancer victims have had the nurses getting high on their pain medicine while they did without. Casady |
