Let's get this straight...

We're going to pass a health care plan

-written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it,

-passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from
it,

-signed by a president that also hasn't read it and who smokes,

-with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his
taxes,

-overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and...

-financed by a country that's nearly broke.

What could possibly go wrong?

What do you care?
You already 'have yours'........as long as Uncle Sam is operational.

Just think, Donnie, if you'd applied yourself instead of waiting for
handouts, you'd be in decent shape too.

Now, just sit back and whine like 'wf2wh' or whatever.

It's funny how those who 'were too smart to serve' (i.e., cowardly)

We've had a form of "free market capitalism" for scores of decades
now. What did it do for us? The Long Boom. The strongest national
economy in the history of the modern world. The most affluent
middle-class in modern history.
Please don't respond, though. It's not that you will have any
reasonable refutation. You won't. It's that I've had my fill of
liberal naivete, misinformation, dissembling, hyperbole, propaganda,
and prevarication.
(I did have a very good friend once who was an ardent liberal; but,
he wasn't intellectually dishonest.)

I'm no liberal by any stretch of the imagination. You just figuratively
killed the messenger by rejecting out of hand John Mackey's ideas because I
labeled him progressive. How stupid can that be? Did you even read what he
had to say? His ideas are largely free-market and workable proposals. Don't
confuse you with the facts, your mind is made up, just like the Dims in
Washington on Capitol Hill and at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
There's no sense in wasting your time and energy, Lu. He is nothing
but empty rhetoric. Most Progressive's lack compassion, a genuine
sense of history, and intellectual honesty.

IOW they disagree with right wing sock puppets...

They not doubt like to
think better of themselves; but, then only a person that IS willing to
be intellectually honest will examine the flaws in their own
reasoning. That's why there is such a flurry of informal fallacies
coming from the left, and when that fact is spoken to, the discussion
simply goes somewhere else in true red herring fashion.

IOW they don't believe my little free market fairy tales, and dont
believe in monsters under the bed like any right wing child would
They do love the their Leviathon.

somebody's gotta put god on the defensive

Somebody has to be an incessant whiner.

What are you blathering about?
Up here it has been a volunteer military since the end of WW2...........
same as it is down your way these days.

In my day, the smart and privileged stayed out. Ask Dick Cheney how it
worked.

I thought Krause and Donnie were the resident experts at being smart
enough to stay out.

But, I'll add you to the list if you desire.

Johnny...you're spazin' out again.
I didn't say I was "smart enough to stay out"
Most of my extended family did very well in our military. One cousins son
is a bit messed up from a mideast tour (was supposed to be clerical on the
base but ended up being gunner on an APC)

We're going to pass a health care plan

-written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it,

-passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves
from
it,

-signed by a president that also hasn't read it and who smokes,

-with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his

Funniest exchange of the day...and you are right, herring has "spazed" out.

Herring seems so proud of the fact that he was too stupid to avoid being
drafted and shipped off to an idiotic war in SE Asia against a country
and people that were no threat to us *until* we went after them.

Our hero, John Herring, who went off to Vietnam and helped us lose a war.

Because you've said right here in rec.boats that the bill is a way to
kill off the elderly instead of caring for them, thus freeing up money
to use for other healthcare. So where is that in the bill? Oh, I
remember, most conservatives parse giving end of life advice, such as
living will education, etc. as wanting them dead....forgot.

remember, most conservatives parse giving end of life advice, such as
living will education, etc. as wanting them dead....forgot.

Sure thing. Here's the conservsation Scotty and I were having, as he was
saying that Oregon pays for the meds to kill off the elderly. I asked if
he thought that because Oregon does it, that that's what Obama wants.
You can read your reply yourself.

The model is already being set in Oregon. A man whit Hepatitis was
turned down for treatment but sent a letter suggesting that the state
would help him pay for "end of life" meds to end well, his life... That
is not a lie, it is an example of how far left medical coverage

So are you really saying that because Oregon did something that that is
what will be in the final bill that Obama is proposing? Really?

Absolutely, if Obama had his way. Thank God there are some Republicans
with enough balls to go against the liberal agenda.

Then you said this: "help the elderly meet a timely death"....

"Be a devout Christian, kill babies, help the elderly meet a 'timely'
death, enlarge government as much as possible, allow the 15 million
illegals in this country to fast track to citizenship......."
