Obama says prostate cancer can be diagnosed by more colonoscopies.
NOT.

Obama says that instead of giving a 100 year old active person a
pacemaker, they should give her a pain pill. (Psssssssst. Pain
pills don't work on irregular heartbeats.)

He sez we need to do a breathalyzer on a child asthma patient.

Lots more, but I'm busy right now.

Make fun of a small inconsistency if you must. Both are easily
treated if caught early by a relatively simple test.

I agree with the sentiment. The guy with the ketch next door just had
colorectal cancer surgery. He was one of those who wouldn't get a
colonoscopy.

We have several self employed dock walker types around here who aren't
going to get tested because they have no insurance. And we will pay
if and when they get sick.

To his critics, Obama must say everything perfectly and in the proper
order. They probably weren't critical of Bush's mangling of his
speeches.
Bush was actually worse than Obama in many speeches.

Steve
Not to mention lying in almost everyone of them, and starting a war on
false pretenses and not having a plan to pay for it.

C'mon, man. You're like a hippie stuck in the sixties. Or, do you want
to go back and talk about Eisenhower and Nixon? I mean, they're relative
to today's situation, but speed up a little and come into the present
tense.

Hmmmmmm. Starting a war and not having a plan to pay for it
.............. Sounds like starting a Utopian nation and not having a
plan to pay for it.

Both ideas are ludicrous.

Steve

One of the arguments is "How is Obama going to pay for health care?" But
the same people never seem to care that the Iraq war was not paid for.

Since the well is dry, what's the difference?

We had a budget surplus when Bush took office and started spending it,
turning it into the "dry well" you refer to.

You're arguing with a stump. a light pole, an empty net, a string with
no fish, no oars in the water.

In other words, he's a dim bulb with blinkers on. Nothin' goin' on.

Steve is long on accusations, short on specifics.

The well is dry now, and will remain so if we keep it as it is.

That's the difference, why keep doing what does not work? We spend more
than anyone else, and get less for it.

You don't believe it? Do we have the longest life spans? Were #17 on
that list. #1 on expenditures.

Soooooo much concern about the debt we're creating taking care of
ourselves. Didn't matter when we were spending trillions on bullets
and bombs. These people who you're arguing with are part of the 20%
who still believe the Republicans are on the right track.

Rachael Maddow had a brilliant segment on the other night, a metaphor
for the Republican interest in passing health care reform.

If you haven't seen it, I'd highly recomend you look for her pizza
segment on MSNBC.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26315908/

Go to August 18th under the Previous Shows section and look for the
pizza segment. Perfect.
