He's not the only one selling plant-based, nutrient dense, low-fat foods. Every grocery store sells them. Of course, in a socialist state, that stuff would be hard to find. I visited East Berlin before the walls came down. I watched people lined up to buy a loaf of bread, or a couple of potatoes. I went into the stores which had fancy optics and cameras in the windows, only to see empty shelves on the inside. There were two classes, the rulers and everyone else. You'd love it. No middle class to whine about. Everyone in the same boat, unless you were a ruler, of course. Shove your socialism up your ass, along with your friggin' whining. -- John H "My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government." Thomas Jefferson |

Obama says prostate cancer can be diagnosed by more colonoscopies. NOT. Obama says that instead of giving a 100 year old active person a pacemaker, they should give her a pain pill. (Psssssssst. Pain pills don't work on irregular heartbeats.) He sez we need to do a breathalyzer on a child asthma patient. Lots more, but I'm busy right now. Steve http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pALCdJ5QuXs Make fun of a small inconsistency if you must. Both are easily treated if caught early by a relatively simple test. I agree with the sentiment. The guy with the ketch next door just had colorectal cancer surgery. He was one of those who wouldn't get a colonoscopy. We have several self employed dock walker types around here who aren't going to get tested because they have no insurance. And we will pay if and when they get sick. To his critics, Obama must say everything perfectly and in the proper order. They probably weren't critical of Bush's mangling of his speeches. Bush was actually worse than Obama in many speeches. Steve Not to mention lying in almost everyone of them, and starting a war on false pretenses and not having a plan to pay for it. C'mon, man. You're like a hippie stuck in the sixties. Or, do you want to go back and talk about Eisenhower and Nixon? I mean, they're relative to today's situation, but speed up a little and come into the present tense. Hmmmmmm. Starting a war and not having a plan to pay for it .............. Sounds like starting a Utopian nation and not having a plan to pay for it. Both ideas are ludicrous. Steve One of the arguments is "How is Obama going to pay for health care?" But the same people never seem to care that the Iraq war was not paid for. Well, it was paid for, as much as the Government pays for anything.. What threw it off was the 4 dollar gas and forced low score/no score home loans... Several "folks" tried to head off both issues, but were filibustered at every turn... What???? Are you saying that if gas didn't go to four bucks a gallon that the cost of the Iraq war would have somehow disappeared??? |

Those ideas have been around for years. • Repeal all state laws which prevent insurance companies from competing across state lines. I believe John McCain was running on this last election. If you remember banks were under the same restrictions until relatively recently. How did that work out? More competition or less? Around here, the local community banks were gobbled up, and we were left with a few "too big to fail" types. • Repeal government mandates regarding what insurance companies must cover. Translation, give me your money, we ain't covering squat. • Enact tort reform to end the ruinous lawsuits that force doctors to pay insurance costs of hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. Canard, malpractice settlements add less that 1% to the cost of health care. • Equalize the tax laws so that employer-provided health insurance and individually owned health insurance have the same tax benefits. A better question, why the corporate welfare in the first place? • Enact Medicare reform. Gee, that's helpful. How? Look at the vitriol about health care reform, something everyone knows is needed. Now this guy wants to **** off all the seniors? Yeah, that will work. • Finally, revise tax forms to make it easier for individuals to make a voluntary, tax-deductible donation to help the millions of people who have no insurance and aren't covered by Medicare, Medicaid or the State Children's Health Insurance Program. Tinkle down, I mean trickle down at it's finest. We were talking health care reform. This guy is out to lunch. Obviously, too much tofu. |
