Hey, those are really good rifles to have. very accurate and the
action works well, but you gotta keep 'em clean.

I think I'd like to take one to Camp Roberts, CA, and spend a day
hunting prairie dogs with an AR-15. That would be some kick-ass fun,
and help with the prairie dog infestation.

And you could kill you a bunch of those heathen liberals out there.

Yes, it has the "JesusSeal of Approval" right on theside.

Well, Harry. If you're going to make blatant statements like that,
then whats on thesideof your Sig?

A Swastika? How about an Iron Eagle?

fits right in, eh?

I find it humorous that so many self-described "christians" are so into
firearms, right-wing politics. and attempts to force their religious
views down the throats of others. It just seems so utterly incongruous.
I suppose the answer is that there is virtually no connection betweenjesusand christianity, and the latter, as a religion, was simply made
up a few hundred years afterJesusdied.

Of course you would Harry. That's your privilage.

Or your curse.

No prairie dogs at Roberts. They is ground squirrels and they have had a
population explosion everywhere this year.

Doubtful herring could hit either a prairie dog or a ground squirrel with
that sort of rifle or, in fact, any other kind of firearm, unless the
critter was three feet away with its tail tied to a fence post.

One wonders why herring would want to spend up a day shooting up critters
that have never done him any harm. "Kick-ass fun" for the cruel and
heartless maybe.

Oh, wait...it's herring.

Perhaps while herring is on his motorcycle trip, a few somewhat larger
critters might be out for a day of fun and play dodge ball, with our boy
herring as the ball. Now *that* would be kick-ass fun.

Ground squirrels around California are more like rats. They overpopulate,
and carry bubonic plague, etc. And eat too much forage for the grazing
animals. Is actually a great sport. Maybe not with Ar-15, but HMR17 is a
great round.

Are they still the bubonic plague carriers they used to be? When I
worked out there the damn things were considered a major pest. Is that
still true?

Yup. My buddy's ranch is overrun with the critters. Since they do not
poison them anymore, a major problem.

Well Harry, I think the results would be quite interesting to hand
John or Tom a quality M1, or M1-A and go to the 400m range with them.
I'm speculating that after maybe one or two windage rounds you
wouldn't see "maggie's drawers" again.

It's amazing to go to Camp Perry, and observe a few veterans of the
Korean war and see what they can still do with an M-1
Garrand. ...very VERY impressive.

OS-OK.

Please. I doubt your boy herring has been in a range in decades, and the
idea of him hitting a target the size of a squirrel at 400 meters is
downright hysterical. I doubt he could do that 45 years ago.

I don't know if tom shoots often on a range. If not, he isn't going to
be hitting squirrel-sized targets at 400 meters, either.

Surely you know that "christianity" didn't exist until hundreds of years
after jesus died.

As for a connection, jesus was born jewish, lived jewish, and died
jewish, and had no interest in converting heathens to judaism.

You're right. he didnt' come to convert heathens to judaism.

Somethings you don't forget how to do, Harry. And probably not a
prarie dog, however there are impliments that can whack a prairie dog
at farther ranges than 400m.

With Tom or John, holding a M1-a, and delivering the ordinance I
don't think I'd like to stand down range at 400m while they have me
clicked in.
