I take a trip up that way once or twice a year. I like going to Flat
Rock/Hendersonville area. If you are going up I-85 from GA into SC,
there's a really nice ride on a little state road going up into the
mountains. It's state route 11, the first exit in SC after crossing Lake
Hartwell.

You could do some whitewater tubing at WDW in Orlando, and stay in a
nice, well-furnished room with a full bath at night, cheapskate.
Bein a radical FL native who wishes everybody else would go back to
whatever yankee hell they came from, I think Disney is the work of the
devil.
Uncle Walt is the Devil? Something we agree on!

jps, now that is interesting, we do agree on somethings. Hope and
Change for real.

You're a funny guy. If it weren't for the touristas in Florida, the
entire state would have dried up and blown away years ago, and you'd
be floating one of those doggy boats of yours up a dry creek, paddle
unnecessary.

Florida thanks you for your business. Come again soon.

Boy, that sure shows Harry's ignorance! Guess he knows nothing of the
industries in FL.
Aerospace
Agriculture (many, many major types)
Aquaculture
Dairy
Horticulture industry (HUGE greenhouses)
Poultry
Beef
And on and on....

My wife is taking me to California and I hear the water in Tahoe is
pretty cold. I don't plan on jumping in anyway.

60 degrees at the surface yer round.

Nope I am not sticking a toe in that.
I'm an 80 and over guy, we like 85.

Take a cruise on the Tahoe Queen or the other paddlewheeler. Nice cruise of
the lake, and stops at Vikingsholm at Emerald Bay.

We boat there once in a while.

Now I gotta decide, rush camper to completion tonite or go with the
tent. We have heard there are problem bears at Deep Creek. Been
there, done that, proved I can sit in my tent or in my sleeping bag
scared to death while they tear up my stuff next to me. Being older
gives me the right to be a wimp and want to be in a hard sided
camper. Have not put camper onto truck yet and I anticipate some
fitting problems, worth rushing or not for leaving tomorrow morning.

Be a man. Sleep in the tent. Take some righties here with you, and tie
them to trees to placate and feed the bears. A win-win situation.

Do you think any bear could stand the odour of a Justhate, a DK or any of
the other Dope lifers?
After all, they're used to honey & berries.

A quick run through the car wash, followed by a spray-down with
something that smells good...
