I went down back the other day and found six dead swamp oak trees -
typical strikes - bark stripped, burn marks down the trunks and deader
than a door nail.

Time for cutting and splitting so it will cure for at least next year.

Nah - dead wood like this is not great for burning - it's like using a
newspaper to heat your house - burns too fast.

Three to six months max on curing time.
