Tends to reduce tickets and save gas. I set it for 10% over the limit and just relax. It's definitely a gas saver. I drove my wife's Honda back from Tampa the other day and she was amazed at how good our fuel mileage was. She drives slower than I do but is constantly on and off the gas pedal. Since I tow with a diesel, I get decent mileage. Towing the boat at 65 mph I get about 13.5 mpg. Towing at 50-55 I get about 15. Running 78 with cruise control, which I run while towing, I get about 18.5 round trip to Los Angeles. Speed limit towing in Calif is 55, but other than Wal-mart trucks, they all run about 63. |
