Right can be relative. For instance, if you are facing directly East, you right is facing South. If you are facing North, your right is facing East. In a boat, port is always on your left no matter where the boat is pointing. |

In a boat, port is always to the left as viewed from the stern. If viewed from the bow, port is on the right. Isn't that true?
