Here in Iowa we had a cop kill a guy in his bunk, in a designated
anchorage. The cops tried to allege it was somehow the victims fault
for not showing non required lights. We had a drunk run down a boat,
hit it from behind, went over the top of the victim, killing the
driver, and kept right on going. They found the damaged boat and
witnesses to each of the drinks the guy had that night.

I'm in favor of laws that take auto driving licenses away from drunk
boat drivers. I'm also in favor of licensing drivers of power boats
with more than a very small engine (in order to allow kids to drive
their own boats). I also favor mandatory jail time for the *first* DUI
offense, and increased time in jail for subsequent convictions.

Who asked? Who cares what you "think", WAFA?

Besides, it's stupid to punish someone by taking away something that had
nothing to do with the crime. By Harry's stupid reasoning, if you were
caught slandering someone, maybe they'd take your boat away? Hmmm, hey,
wait.......that IS a good idea.

I don't know - a couple of those are a little suspicious - actually
most of them except for the car key one.

But, having said that, I had this happen to me. Neighbor knocks on my
door and asks if he can use the phone. Sure - what's up?

He says he changed all his phones over to wireless and they didn't
work. So I'm thinking - hmmmm...

Tell you what, let's go look at it.

Sure enough - the phones weren't connected to the phone lines and the
power cords were still in the box. So I connected the lines, plugged
in the power and the phones work.

Guys looks at me and says he's going to take the phones back.

Why?

They are supposed to be wireless.

I swear that is absoutely true. :)
