Default Do Boaters Moon?

Just saw on the news there's an annual mooning by a crowd of an Amtrak
train by folks in some NJ town.
The mayor wants to stop it.
Campaign slogan is "Just Say No To Crack."
The news clip showed a past event and it looked like about 30 people
were mooning the train.
Guess it's not hard to round up 30 assholes.

Are you sure it wasn't California?

Maybe in New Jersey, but in California there were 8,000-10,000.

Sorry, I wasn't paying too much attention. Didn't mean to cast
aspersions on the citizens of the great state NJ. East coast, right?
Would have known it was California if I got the number of assholes
right. Simple deduction.

No offense taken. As NJ is a small state, I figured I should have heard
of such an event if it was local. I hadn't, but I did find this about
New Hampshire. Seems it isn't only the left coast.

You guys have brought back memories of when the skipper of the sailboat I
used to crew on dropped his pants and mooned the passangers of a hugh cruise
ship just as it was getting ready to leave port. The passengers hooted &
hollered....
Me... i don't drop my drawers unless I'm about to get lucky. ;-)

And you have to recall the last time that happened in decades, not days.

Carry on...

Speaking of mooning - a little research dug this up.

During the Battle of Crécy in 1346 when king Edward III of England
took Caen, on the way to Crécy, several hundred Norman soldiers
exposed their backsides to the English archers and many of them paid a
high price for doing so.

In a literary reference, Joyce mentioned glimpses of the moon in
Ulysses. He wasn't talking about earth's satellite.
