Were you hoping to make someone roll over?

You really ought to get your 'roids operated on. The results will improve
your temperament immensely.

My temperment is just fine, thank you.

I forgot though. It won't help you. You are already a perfect asshole.

Oh, how vulgar!!!

Temperament is in the eyes of the beholder. My temperament is fine
with me, yours pretty much sucks.

You display all the important features of the classic narcissist --
self-important, self-indulgent, self-obsessed, arrogant, hauty...did I
mention self-important?

I'm sure you can buy something for that, eh?

Norton 750 Commando?

I used to have a Dominator... great bike, but I'd ride it a day and
work on it two.

Ah! British. The only brit bike I have3 now is a 1974 Triumph Daytona
500.

Had it over at a guys shop and somebody (I think him) stole the
Leyland oil cooler off of it. Of course it "Didn't have one on it when
it came in" story couldn't have worked seeing I rode it in.

anyhow, it's still restorable.

-------------------------------------

Had a very unusual day. Met a guy who asked if I was interested in a
partial trade of his 1974 Norton 750 Commando for my VW bus. I used to
ride a friend's 750 back in my Navy days and the idea brought back memories.

Anyway, he came over and checked out the bus and wants it. Turns out he
drove across country back in the early 70's in a '65 bus. I haven't seen
the Norton, so I asked a few preliminary questions. He gave me the whole
story.

He completely rebuilt it from the frame up about 8 years ago and it's been
in storage since.
All new stainless hardware, new carbs, exhaust system, new seats, new
cables, brakes, engine work, and paint. He said it's in showroom condition.

He took it out of storage about a week ago and took it to a bike shop to
have them go through it again making sure it's tight and also to have a
check valve put in the oil line. (that was one design problem with the
Norton engines .... the oil completely drained back into the sump).

We made a deal, sight unseen for me. He's picking it up from the shop
Thursday and we will be swapping shortly after. I thought I had my fill of
bikes, but this one brings back some memories.

Spoiled child you are. Are you competing for who goes through the
most toys between 50 and death?

Ah, just when I thought it was hopeless, you came through and made my day.
It's truly delightful that I affect you in such a positive way.

It's something I reserve for special, deserving people.

Your soul has been sold to the toy gods. When you have nothing
meaningful to pursue, you buy toys and open businesses to pass the
time. None of them last very long...

I've seen you before, you're not a prototype.
