Harry Krause,
Didn't you know him and have him over for dinner many times?

No he isn't. His house fell down, nothing more.
Nobody is more "immortal" than beloved and prolific entertainers,
writers, etc. 100 years from now people will be able to enjoy that
voice, and many will be as inspired as his millions of fans are today.
Is he the sum of his works and accomplishments, or merely a meat
locker filled with kindeys, livers, vocal chords and muscle? In one of
the most important senses, he will live on and on.

Lean back, close your eyes, and listen to this.

Of course this is like arguing about high end audio gear.
Both of these guys were about as high end as you can go.

That's true, and Lanza died very young. But I believe Luciano had a
wider range as a tenor and certainly could hit higher notes with great
musicality.
