I tried it once in the ASA group when it was over run by flonkers, and with Agent it slows down update of the headers in the group. And no matter what reader, or if it happens server-side, the parsing will slow things down. My headers are sorted subject/time, and it's very easy to delete entire subjects or posters with the mouse. Never more than a few clicks, and just maybe I want to read something because of a poster/subject combination. I never felt I had to read anything I don't want to read. Why let a filter censor what I can read? Do I have free will? Or not? Just seems childish to me. But maybe others find it useful because of their readers/tools. --Vic |
