Just received the new brake system actuator from UFP - top notch
service. They've also obviously improved the design - MAJOR redesign. Same package, but much improved - the more corrosion prone parts are now epoxy coated, the bushings are heavier and metal instead of plastic with what looks like bronze (don't know if it is) bushings and it looks like the housing metal has been adonized. The best part is that the one part most prone to failure, the brake release solenoid, is now a part of the master cylinder - cast iron. Well done UFP. Well done indeed. |

Trailer I am looking at has them, and wondering how they are? |

They will rust a little when the trailer has been sitting for a while, but overall, I've had good performance with them. The problem I've had is their calipers - they tend to stick and you have to keep an eye out for that. Other than that, great products. |

I spray what I can with the Krown Rustproofing product...sold in aerosol cans for home use. In this salt air/water environment, it's good insurance. http://www.krown.com/ |

The melamine won't hurt anything unless you feed it to your kids or dogs. |

I use Howe's or PB Blaster on all the bolts and heads after the lake water on the trailer dries off. |
