Default Help on Finding Parts for Nautaline 1970 Houseboat - V-drive

Hi,

I want to see if anyone in this group might be able to provide me some
insight into the direction I need to go to repair or replace a gearbox
on a v-drive for my family's 1970 Nautaline houseboat. We haven't
been able to determine who the manufacturer of the unit is. The
gearbox is seriously cracked. The boat has two inboard 318 Chrysler
engines. We are hoping to find a replacement housing, new or used, or
at the least determine who or what source to go to to find replacement
parts. We had encountered a loose tug rope while going down the
Mississipi last year, and it became entangled in both of our props.
We've had all kinds of trouble since. Any help, suggestions, or
recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

TIA,
John

Take some pictures and go to a ski boat repair place that has been in
business for years. They may be able to identify the Vdrive.
