Actually, I am from Jasper county. *The email address is a retired
address. *I had inserted my current email address in the "From" edit
box; but, for some reason my program reverted to my old address. *I
haven't posted to Usenet in quite some time. *Clay county? *Flora,
Illlinois?

It's Kentucky Lake. *We had a houseboat a couple of years ago at the
Town & Country Marina on Johnathon Creek, near Benton, KY. *We lost it
to a fire at the marina. *Our boat was two slips from the boat that
caught fire and exploded, catching surrounding boats on fire. *We lost
everything, we only had liability insurance, and no other parties had
insurance. *(Lucky us!) *We purchased this 1970 Nautaline from a party
in Lake City, Minn, and we started down the Mississippi last year to
take it down to Kentucky lake. *We caught a tug rope near Clinton, IA,
and we've had trouble since. *Right now, we're at Two Rivers Marina,
across from Louisana, MO, having the boat repaired again. *Maybe I
should take up flying instead of boating?

|Hi,
|
|I want to see if anyone in this group might be able to provide me some
|insight into the direction I need to go to repair or replace a gearbox
|on a v-drive for my family's 1970 Nautaline houseboat. *We haven't
|been able to determine who the manufacturer of the unit is. *The
|gearbox is seriously cracked. *The boat has two inboard 318 Chrysler
|engines. *We are hoping to find a replacement housing, new or used, or
|at the least determine who or what source to go to to find replacement
|parts. *We had encountered a loose tug rope while going down the
|Mississipi last year, and it became entangled in both of our props.
|We've had all kinds of trouble since. *Any help, suggestions, or
|recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

|TIA,
|John
