DD 214 is not a discharge certificate, particularly when the individule is not even discharged, but transferred to the reserves. Those released after their four years would get a discharge certificate in the mail two years after they left, on expiration of their reserve committement. The title of the the DD 214 is Armed Forces Report of Transfer or DIscharge. Casady |
