From CNBC: The stock market may hit new lows this year or the next as the current rally has been largely caused by the money printed by central banks and fundamental problems remain unsolved, legendary investor Jim Rogers told CNBC Wednesday. His views echo those of renowned bear Marc Faber, who told CNBC last week that the rises in share prices did not mean the world was embarking on a path of sustainable economic growth. "I'm not buying shares if that's what you mean. Not at all," Rogers told "Squawk Box Asia." "The bottom will probably come later this year, next year, who knows when," he added. http://revolutionarypolitics.com/?p=699 Our economy has non-reversible flaws. Naturally, the hucksters think McDonald's,Wal-Mart, etc., will restore our position in the world market. ted ps. Social conflicts will rise due to third-world immigration and economic disaster. It's true the economy is a mess but they're "fixing" it by pumping trillions of $ into it and that will probably cause hyperinflation. Nope, you watch. WW2 didnt, and this wont either. And that means the stock market will RISE a little as the economy sinks a lot. Pure pig ignorant fantasy. I don't think we'll see 2000 DOW even if we have unemployment at 30%.. We may see a DOW at 50,000. But that will be caused by hyperinflation. Nope, because we wont see hyperinflation. At the rate the government is spending and seeing no plans to slow down spending, That last is a lie. hyperinflation is a very real possibility. Nope, MUCH higher spending in WW2 didnt produce hyperinflation and there is a reason why it didnt. WW2 took 2 million people out of the work force, and the money went to manufacturing. This spending if any goes for manufacturing is being sent to China. Most of the "Stimulus" spending is pork projects. SF Muni bus service getting maintenance money, etc. |
